Rachmaninov’s technically daunting and treasured Piano Concerto No. 3 will be illuminated by the electrifying Denis Kozhukhin. It is followed by Ives’ Fourth Symphony, which draws together hymn tunes, popular songs and marching bands into a moving reflection on American music — and life itself.
