Beethoven – String Quartet No. 13 in B-flat major, Op. 130

Recognized as one of the world’s great ensembles, the Takács Quartet plays with excitement, warmth and humor, combining four distinct musical personalities to bring fresh insights to the string quartet repertoire. In 2012, Takács was the only string quartet to be inducted into Gramophone’s first Hall of Fame. In that same year, the Quartet was appointed as the first-ever Associate Artists at Wigmore Hall in London. Known for their award-winning recordings of the complete Beethoven Cycle, Takács' Meany performance features Beethoven’s great Op. 130. Of the Late Quartets, the Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote, “The Takács might play this repertoire better than any quartet of the past or present.”
