Early Music Guild presents: 'A Mio Modo'

A mio modo celebrates the individual creative spirits and fantastical conceptions of Stile Moderno, the modern 17th-century composition style. Pallade Musica traces the emergence of Stile Moderno with sonatas by Castello and Mealli, and reaches the pinnacle of the Stylus Phantasticus with Buxtehude’s spectacular trios and Biber’s dramatic Mystery sonatas.

Pallade Musica brings together four of Montreal’s most promising young early music performers. Grand Prize winners at the Early Music America Baroque Performance Competition in New York, the quartet embraces a path of dedicated research and continuous exploration.
