Sibelius — Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47
Sibelius — Symphony No. 4 in A minor, Op. 63

Sibelius’ Violin Concerto has been compared to the image of a “warm-blooded animal dancing in a frozen landscape.” Indeed, that phrase captures perfectly the humane spirit of this great composer of the north, whose complete symphonies we’ll explore this season under the baton of Principal Guest Conductor Thomas Dausgaard.

Pre-concert talk one hour prior to the performance.
