Shakespeare has long been a source of artistic inspiration. His literary works have inspired visual art, plays, film, dance, music and more.
In this concert series, the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra will collaborate for the first time with Director Tom Challinor and the BPA Shakespeare Society. This concert will feature music and drama drawn from and inspired by the works of Shakespeare.
Additionally, the program will showcase the BSO's 1st place Young Artist Concerto Competition Winner, Andrew Barnwell, performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, 1st movement and Runner Up Shintaro Taneda performing Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole, 1st movement, plus the Senior Orchestra from the Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra in a side-by-side performance.
