The act of walking or traveling is an autobiographical experience, an inscription of our story in time and space. It places us in a specific arc, delineated by a clear beginning and end as we leave and arrive at new destinations. The journey through the intervening space, however, opens a place for reflection and remembering, a continuous contextualization of the moment.

Join us in the debut performance by Sound of Late for an exploration of the energetic nature of sound and memory: their intimate connection to location, their ability to inspire self-discovery, and how they inform our personal journeys. Throughout our program, as we explore the power of sounds to bind communities together, we will also introduce several new initiatives to build the artistic and creative communities across our region.

The program will feature music by Ada Gentile, Nayla Mehdi, Benjamin Penwell, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Kaija Saariaho, and Salvatore Sciarrino, and a set of improvisations inspired by Pauline Oliveros.

As this performance takes place in an intimate venue, seating is limited. The concert is free of charge, but donations will be accepted at the door – please contribute what you are able.
