The LYRA vocal ensemble from St. Petersburg, Russia will perform as part of the SoundScapes International Concert Series at Edmonds United Methodist Church. The concert will showcase the vibrant musical heritage of the Russian Orthodox Church as well as traditional Russian folk music in a celebration of Russia’s opulent history and culture.
LYRA's members include choral directors, vocal and instrumentalist soloists, and music teachers who share a love for choral music and ensemble singing. With a wide range of musical interests, LYRA will perform sacred and secular music from obscure composers to well-known greats, such as Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Bortniansky. They will also perform their own choral arrangements of Russian folk music.
Admission: $15 adults, $10 seniors, children under 12 free.
