From earthy to ethereal, Ancora celebrates the music of the British Isles in their first presentation under new Artistic Director Aimee Mell. Enjoy the music of Holst, Vaughan Williams, Stanford, Daley, Szymko, Whitacre and more. The program presents traditional renditions of “waulking” songs, ballads, reels, and favorites such as Scarborough Fair, as well as more contemporary settings of texts by St. Patrick, W.B. Yeats and James Joyce.
