San Francisco-based baroque violinist Aaron Westman and harpsichordist Henry Lebedinsky perform fiery and virtuosic music by Vivaldi (known as the Red Priest), Leonarda (an Italian nun and prolific and groundbreaking composer) and Pisendel (the renowned concertmaster of the best orchestra in 18th century Europe).
One of the most sought-after period instrumentalists on the West Coast, Aaron Westman has performed and toured throughout the US, Mexico, Canada, and Europe as a soloist with the American Bach Soloists and Seicento String Band, a principal player with Bach Collegium San Diego, Sonoma and San Francisco Bach Choirs, and regularly as a member of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Musica Angelica, and El Mundo. He directs the chamber ensemble Agave Baroque, which just released its fourth CD, "Queen of Heaven: Music of Isabella Leonarda" with countertenor Reginald Mobley on the VGo Recordings label.
