Wednesday, November 4, 2015 @ 7:30pm – 9:30pm (PST)
Town Hall Seattle, Seattle, WA, United States

Two composer-performers, two continents, and one very exciting collaborative work of art. Cri Selon Cri (or, “Cry by Cry” in English) is the brainchild of France’s Thierry Pécou and the United States’ Lisa Bielawa – a work which brings together their compositions, performance, and, quite literally, their cries of pain.

This tour, sponsored in part by the French government, demonstrates the power of music to bring people closer. Town Hall favorite Bielawa’s powerhouse vocals and Pécou’s piano playing will be backed by Ensemble Variances. The group – whose love of “combining different aesthetic and artistic styles” led them to this project – also consists of Anne Cartel, flute; Carjez Gerretsen, clarinet; Nicolas Prost, saxophone; Liana Gourdjia, violin; and David Louwerse, violoncello.

Admission: $20 advance / $25 at the door / $20 seniors / $17 Town Hall members / $10 students. A limited number of $5 day-of-show Teen Tix for those 18 and under also will be available.
