The Seattle Collaborative Orchestra (SCO) continues its innovative programming featuring new music and up-and-coming performers. In this concert, we premiere Unworkable Devices by Roosevelt High graduate Brendan McMullen and feature a performance by the winner of the first SCO Concerto Competition.
The Seattle Collaborative Orchestra is a multigenerational performing arts organization devoted to music education and bringing classical and new symphonic works into local schools and communities.
It is our aim to create engaging and educational collaborative experiences by coupling gifted student musicians from Seattle-area high schools and universities with experienced professionals from Seattle premier ensembles, such as Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Simple Measures in order to promote exciting new music by female and Pacific Northwest composers.
