The Sonare Trio from Cleveland presents Brahms’ impassioned First Piano Trio, an early work which took on characteristics of the composer’s late style when he heavily revised it in 1889; as well as Smetana’s Piano Trio, composed in the aftermath of the death of his beloved four-year-old daughter.

Crosstalk is a concert series within the Resonance at SOMA Towers project in which audiences are welcomed to converse freely with musicians between pieces. One of Crosstalk’s chief objectives is to lessen the distance between listeners and performers as lovers of music alike.
