The Seattle-Eastside 8 Hands Piano Group, founded in 2010 by the late Mark Walsen, consists of classically trained pianists who meet weekly to play repertoire arranged for 2 pianos, 8 hands. The group gives an annual performance, as well as appearances at local piano teachers’ recitals and Pianos in the Parks. Their commitment is to bring the rarely heard 8-hands piano repertoire to music lovers in the greater Seattle area and to continue their own love of making music.

The group’s members all have degrees or diplomas in music, and now work in occupations ranging from piano instructors, fine artists, and copy editors, to software engineers, neuroscientists, and real estate owners. The performers are: Andrew Brandon-Rumman, Oda Egeland, Benjamin Katt, Jenifer Kooiman, Adrian KC Lee, Mary Kaye Owen, Satomi Pellerin, and Connie Wible.

The concert will feature music by Rossini, Moszkowski, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák, and Liszt.
