Steve Griggs Ensemble performs Panama Hotel Jazz

Inspired by personal stories of Japanese American incarceration during WWII, this 75-minute program of stories and original music by Steve Griggs is performed by saxophonist Steve Griggs, trumpeter Jay Thomas, vibraphonist Susan Pascal, guitarist Milo Petersen, and bassist Phil Sparks. The program was commissioned by 4Culture and is supported by the National Park Service and Earshot Jazz. The program twice won the award from ASCAP/Chamber Music America for Adventurous Programming of Contemporary Music.
