The Young Women's Chorus, the touring ensemble of the Young Women's Choral Projects of San Francisco, joins the small ensembles of Seattle Pro Musica for a collaborative concert at Plymouth Congregational Church, Seattle.

Life Passages, the YWCP program, offers a musical journey through passages in a woman's life. Combining tradition and innovation, the Young Women's Chorus of San Francisco explores passages in a woman's life including childhood, leaving home, romance, and aging. The featured work is the world premiere of a commissioned set of songs, A Singer's Path, by Karen P. Thomas on poetry by Sara Teasdale. Music by Hildegard von Bingen, Bergman, Tormis, as well as international folksongs and spirituals will add to this exciting program.

Seattle Pro Musica presents encore performances of the best and most compelling works for small ensembles from their season – including Northern Lights by Ēriks Ešenvalds, one of today’s most sought-after young composers. With voices, chimes, and tuned water goblets, Ešenvalds recreates the wonder of the northern lights in sound.
