The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra is proud to belong to a consortium put together by New Music for America in commissioning Dreamtime Ancestors by Christopher Theofanidis, one of the most performed composers of the twenty-first century. One orchestra from every state has been selected to participate and we are thrilled to give the Washington premiere of this new work. To close the season the orchestra will perform Dvořák Symphony No. 8 in G major, one of the composer’s most-beloved and uplifting symphonies. Pianist Leah Deobald, first-place winner of the 2016 Young Artist Competition, joins us for the season finale.
