Music in the American Wild is a celebration of the 2016 U.S. National Park Service centennial.

Eleven composers and seven performers, all affiliated with Eastman School of Music as faculty or alumni, have come together to fill our country's grandest natural venues with a new opus of inherently American music. During the summer of 2016, our performers will tour seven celebrated national parks to premiere these new works in the amazing places that inspired them. From caves, to mountaintops, to forests blanketed with fireflies, Music in the American Wild will honor this major milestone in American conservation by letting new music ring out from sea to shining sea!

We hope you'll join our musical pioneers on their trek into the wild!

Music in the American Wild is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
