A 3-hour reading session of new choral works from our call for scores.

Thanks to all the composers who have submitted works to our recent call for scores centered on themes of social justice, we have more than 225 submissions over the last year. We have held three other reading sessions and performed 11 of the works. We are seeking musicians to use their sight-reading skills, meet some other great musicians, and sing through some of these “hot-off-the-press” scores!

If this describes you, we would like to invite you to attend our fall reading session, which will involve a sneak peek at selections vetted by our advisory committee. The purpose of this reading session is for you to be able to view a representation of some of this contemporary music and to engage in a collaborative dialogue of the value of selected works for their compositional integrity and communicability. You will leave with parts of each of these pieces in a music packet, as well as contact information for these composers. We might even be dialoguing directly with some of the composers!

We look forward to seeing you at the Fall Reading Session. If you are not a singer, we hope you will consider supporting us in other ways. Let us know if you are interested in engaging in our vision and mission in non-singing ways. And we still hope to see you at the event!
