The Ecco Chamber Ensemble announces a series of afternoon concerts built around the intersection of art and social change. This is the inaugural concert featuring the theme of Home, Migration, and what defines one’s sense of place. The concert will feature works by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Federico Garcia Lorca, Katherine Hoover and some folk song arrangements from around the world.

The pieces on the concert reflect the personal stories of the composers' forced migration from oppressive regimes, along with folk songs that celebrate a sense of home and place. We will also have two pieces by guitarist and composer Mark Hilliard Wilson. His two compositions for the ensemble of flute, guitar, and voice explore the state of mind of homelessness and those who work to help those that are homeless.
