Houston-based Apollo Chamber Players challenge the traditional notions of classical chamber music presentation and audience engagement by highlighting the rich cultural influences and folkloric traditions of various world cultures.

-->This concert is an LMP Critic's Pick: "In a timely program at Seattle University, the Apollo Chamber Players present music by Malek Jandali, founder of the international Pianos for Peace; Shostakovich, the undercurrent of whose music protests the heavy hand of Stalinist Russia; Arthur Gottschalk, whose music describes contemporary Cuba, and Argentinian Piazzolla’s 'Tango Ballet.'" ~ Philippa Kiraly

(Critic's Picks are selected for the Live Music Project by Seattle music critics Thomas May and Philippa Kiraly.)

Tickets: $12 general admission, $5 students, $8 faculty/staff/alumni
