Johann Sebastian Bach — Komm, Jesu, komm, BWV 229
The Chamber Singers (Geoffrey Boers, director) and the University Chorale (Giselle Wyers, director), present “How Then Shall We Live: Reflections on the Reformation,” performing music related to reform and protest, including Bach’s Cantata 106, the motet Komm Jesu Komm, and other works.
About UW University Chorale
The University of Washington Chorale is an auditioned advanced undergraduate ensemble of music and non-music majors from the Seattle campus. UW Chorale appears annually as a guest ensemble with the Seattle Symphony, and has sung in joint concerts with Revalia Male Chamber Choir in Estonia, and for the Princess of Sweden. UW Chorale appeared at the Latvian Song Festival in Riga, during the summer of 2013 and the Estonian Festival of Song and Dance in 2019, as one of the only American choirs.
