In times of darkness, we seek beacons of light to lead, guide, and give us hope. In this season of waiting and darkness, the Northwest Chamber Chorus explore the guiding light of stars with early American carols Star in the East and I Wonder as I Wander plus works by Mendelssohn, Praetorius, and Cecilia McDowall. They then turn to music that reflects the idea of seeking and searching with Seek Him that Maketh the Seven Stars by Jonathan Dove, Three Kings by Healey Willan, and Only in Sleep by Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. Sing along carols Go Tell it on the Mountain, Rise Up, Shepherd and Follow and Silent Night add to this special collaboration with guest conductor Elisabeth Cherland.
