In celebration of Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra’s season theme, African American Music and Its Influences, special guests University of Washington Gospel Choir and Mount Zion Baptist Church Choir, both led by Phyllis Byrdwell, will be collaborating with BYSO’s top ensemble Youth Symphony. Highlights include George Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 2 and Robert Ray’s He Never Failed Me Yet. The teamwork of BYSO music director and Youth Symphony conductor Dr. Teresa Metzger Howe with Phyllis Byrdwell is a recipe for an extraordinary performance!
