Beethoven – Symphony No. 3, "Eroica"
Israeli-born conductor Yaniv Attar takes Sinfonietta audiences on an incredible journey through one man’s life story. Curt Lowens – who survived the Kristallnacht terrors of 1938 Germany, going on to be a fighter in the Dutch Resistance – is slated to narrate the unique concerto at the center of this program, composed by Sharon Farber. Mr. Lowens is joined by renowned cellist Amit Peled, who performs on the cello once owned by Pablo Casals. This heroic tale is perfectly paired with Beethoven’s beloved third symphony, subtitled "Eroica" by the composer himself.
