From Brahms to Beethoven, Town Music presents an evening of hallowed repertoire given fresh life by American violinist Benjamin Beilman and Russian-born pianist Anna Polonsky – both among the fastest rising stars in their generation.
Beilman has performed with the London Philharmonic, Zurich Tonhalle, Philadelphia Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, and the Chicago Symphony, and has been hailed by The New York Times for his “handsome technique, burnished sound, and quiet confidence.”
Polonsky, praised as “thoroughly thoughtful and sensitive…incapable of erring in her solid expertise and superior musicianship,” (The New York Concert Review) is an apt choice to share the stage with Beilman. Polonsky is the 2011 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award winner, and has collaborated with artists such as Mitsuko Uchida and Yo-Yo Ma. She has given concerts in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and Carnegie Hall’s Stern, Weill, and Zankel Halls. Dedicated chamber fans and newcomers to the community alike are in for a rapturous evening of chamber selections from beloved classical and contemporary composers.
