Symphony Tacoma Voices presents its own musical "turning of the seasons." Dr. Geoffrey Boers will conduct the choral concert that celebrates the transition from the darkness of winter to the warmth of spring. The program features two Maurice Duruflé compositions – Requiem and Missa Cum Jubilo – along with works by contemporary composers Eric Barnum, Jake Runestad, and Kim Arnesén. The concert will close with Bach’s uplifting Alleluia. Amy Boers will accompany the Voices on a Brombaugh organ and images of historic paintings and contemporary news photographs will be projected on the walls of the church to portray themes of the Passion of the Christ story.
