Dvořák – String quintet in G major, Op. 77
Beethoven – Serenade, Op. 8

The Fulton Street Chamber Players return to Folio for another chamber music concert in their third season. The central work for the concert will be Dvořák's string quintet in G major, Op. 77. The quintet, written in 1875 and revised in 1888, is rich with folkloric material and has the unusual feature of a string bass as the fifth player.

The Fulton Street Players feature leading members of the Seattle Symphony and their guests. Founders Rachel Swerdlow (viola) and Walter Gray (cello) will be joined by Hal Grossman and Elisa Barston, violins, and Jonathan Green, bass viol.

These concerts are performed "in the round," with audience members sitting close and encircling the performers. A complimentary wine reception follows, where these fine musicians meet audience members.

Folio members may reserve seats in advance: rsvp@folioseattle.org
