The Seattle-Bergen Sister City Association cordially invites you to the Fifth Annual Grieg Gala in celebration of the 175th birthday of Bergen and Norway's most beloved composer, Edvard Hagerup Grieg.
This gala concert features guest pianist Knut Erik Jensen of Trondheim, Norway, Northwest soprano Laura Loge, and Seattle virtuoso violinist Allion Salvador.
The evening's program includes a performance of the Haugtussacycle, Grieg's Sonata No. 1 for piano and violin, and piano compositions by Grieg as well as Geirr Tveitt and Christian Sinding, all part of one great musical heritage.
Following the concert, you will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists and friends at our birthday celebration in the tradition of the famous hospitality of the Seattle-Bergen Sister City Association.
