Jennifer Bromagen, guest soloist

The Nordic Heritage Museum and the Sno-King Community Chorale presents "Holiday Magic: Joys and Dreams" concert, featuring Dreamweaver, a new work by contemporary Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, whose style is often described as cinematic and evocative, with a lush, harmonious sound.

Dreamweaver is based on the well-known Norwegian medieval folk poem Draumkvedet, an epic ballad where the protagonist, Olav Åsteson, falls asleep on Christmas Eve and sleeps for thirteen days. He wakes up, rides to church and describes to the congregation his dreams about his brave, beautiful, terrifying, and ultimately redeeming journey through the afterlife. In addition to the performance of this piece, fun and entertaining holiday songs will also be performed in this concert.
