The University of Washington Chamber Singers and University Chorale pay tribute to the 500th anniversary of the passing of Leonardo da Vinci with ODRANOEL, featuring Italian madrigals both new and of the time of this Renaissance genius, as well as Eric Whitacre’s Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine. Also on the program, members of the Chamber Singers will perform choruses from George Frideric Handel’s oratorio Samson.
About UW University Chorale
The University of Washington Chorale is an auditioned advanced undergraduate ensemble of music and non-music majors from the Seattle campus. UW Chorale appears annually as a guest ensemble with the Seattle Symphony, and has sung in joint concerts with Revalia Male Chamber Choir in Estonia, and for the Princess of Sweden. UW Chorale appeared at the Latvian Song Festival in Riga, during the summer of 2013 and the Estonian Festival of Song and Dance in 2019, as one of the only American choirs.
