Astor Piazzolla — Selected works
Stephen Goss — Selected works

Michael Brockman, saxophone
Michael Partington, guitar

UW Music faculty colleagues Michael Partington (guitar) and Michael Brockman (saxophone) perform compositions and arrangements for guitar and saxophone from the Renaissance to Piazzolla. The program includes the premiere of a new work written for the duo by Welsh composer Stephen Goss, founder and director of the International Guitar Research Center, and faculty member at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the University of Surrey in Guildford.

A Note from the Host
Guitarist Michael Partington and saxophonist Michael Brockman will be presenting an evening of favorites and a new commission as a pre-concert for their University of Washington School of Music faculty recital the following week. This is a great opportunity to hear world-class artists in an intimate setting.
