Brahms – Piano quintet in F minor, Op. 34
Schubert – Quartet in A minor, Op. 29 ("Rosamunde")

The Fulton Street Chamber Players, a varied ensemble of Seattle Symphony players and invited professional musicians, continues its fourth season at Folio. Founders Walter Gray, cello and Rachel Swerdlow, viola, will be joined by Jeannie Yablonsky, violin, Blayne Barnes, violin, and Joseph Adam, piano.

This evening’s program will consist of the beloved Brahms piano quintet in F minor and the Schubert quartet in A minor, known as the Rosamunde Quartet.

These intimate performances evoke the house-party atmosphere of chamber music as performed in the era before concert halls; where friends would gather, drinks were served, and new works would be heard. Audience members at Folio surround the players and sit close to the action. A complimentary wine reception follows, where these fine musicians mingle with audience members and new friends are made.
