Chancel Arts presents "Music Inspired by the Word of God," a benefit concert to support the construction of the Kent Grand Organ. Doors open for seating at 1:30pm. Intermission with light refreshments included.
This inspired music features Brian Wharton, principal cellist for Auburn Symphony orchestra, including J.S. Bach Suite No. 3 in C major for solo cello, "Meditation" from Thais by Jules Massenet, and Schelomo by Ernest Bloch based on the book Kings 1 and the life of Solomon.
The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering (suggested donation $20) will be collected with all proceeds going directly to support the ongoing fundraising effort to complete installation of the Kent Grand Organ by 2021.
