Seattle Flute Society: Felix Skowronek Memorial Event

The Felix Skowronek Memorial Event is an annual event sponsored by the Seattle Flute Society in honor of the organization's founder, Felix Skowronek. The event traditionally features local artists and/or wooden flute specialists.
2:00-2:45 – Special Celebration of SFS Founder Felix Skowronek for 40th Anniversary Season. A tribute featuring reminiscences from Jeffrey Cohan, Pamela Butler Ryker, Rae Terpenning, and Phyllis McDaniel, hosted by SFS President Christina Medawar. A woodwind quintet from the University of Washington will also perform.
3:00-4:00 – Recital featuring guest artists Leonard Garrison and Roger McVey
4:15-5:15 – Masterclass with Leonard Garrison.

Carl Nielsen – Concerto for Flute and Orchestra (1926) (Movement 1) with Meg Takezawa, flute and Megan McElroy, piano
