Holding a mirror to our shared legacy, “The Other Conquest” is a musical and dramatic exploration of excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi’s opera Motezuma, RV 723, and of a new work entitled "La Conquista" composed specifically for this performance by Héctor Armienta with a libretto by Redmond, Washington’s Poet Laureate, Raúl Sánchez. “The Other Conquest” asks how far have we come in 500 years and where are we going?
