Franz Joseph Haydn – Keyboard Concerto No. 11 in D major, Hob. XVIII/11
Antonín Dvořák – Serenade for wind instruments, cello, and double bass in D minor, Op. 44, B. 77

In this livestream performance, George Li brings dazzling piano fireworks to Jones Hall with Haydn’s popular Piano Concerto No. 11, which ends with lively Hungarian dance music. Plus, members of the Houston Symphony wind section are spotlighted in Dvořák’s charming Serenade in D minor and the concert begins with music by “dazzlingly inventive” (The New York Times) composer Anna Clyne.

Before the concert: Musical Ambassador Carlos Andrés Botero hosts Prelude discussion live on Zoom. Ticket holders get a link to learn more about the musicians and the night’s repertoire.

The livestream will take place at 8pm Central / 6pm Pacific.

On the day before the concert, you will receive a new email with a link to the video. If you purchase a ticket after Friday evening, the link will be in your confirmation email. We recommend you access the link at least 10 minutes before the concert begins. A recording will be available to you at the same link for 24 hours following the concert. If you did not purchase a ticket before the concert, you can still buy a ticket to access the recording until 7pm Central / 5pm Pacific on the Sunday after the performance.
