This Friday, the Sustain Music Project will feature a livestreamed concert of percussion duos and live interviews by arx duo. Meet Garrett and Mari, two of the leading pioneers within the percussion chamber music community. They love to work with and commission new pieces by living composers, and they bring these new creations to audiences everywhere. The name "arx duo" comes from the artists’ desire to forge new connections and artistic pathways or "arcs" between composers and the audience, expanding the opportunities for new works to reach new audiences.
"Arx is excited to share some of what we’ve been doing during Covid 19, from our NEW SPACE, with Sustain Music Project. We are excited to engage with the community, even though we aren’t able to be near each other. We will be featuring some of the works we’ve worked on over the last years, and our progress in learning to produce videos and share more online from our space. Engaging with audiences through music is important as no matter what people think about certain kinds of music, we can all communicate through it!" -arx
