Verdant Vibes will present a program of new electro/acoustic solo and chamber music selected from their free call for scores.
The concert features pieces by local Rhode Island composers, including co-director and pianist Kirsten Volness’ The Pathless Woods, and Providence-based cellist and electronic musician Laura Cetilia’s radiolaria. Sid Richardson’s dazzling LUNE, as well as Emmy-nominated composer Kareem Roustam’s Gnizo in three movements are also featured. Verdant Vibes’ performers include Piero Guimaraes, percussion; Alexander Dupuis, electric guitar; Kirsten Volness, accordion; EmmaLee Holmes-Hicks, violin; Roseminna Watson, violin and voice; and Jacob Richman, double bass.
The broadcast will take place at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific.
