“Revelatory” mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford (The New York Times) joins several musicians from the great Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for music by opera composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gioachino Rossini, Georges Bizet, and Giacomo Puccini, alongside a major song cycle by Jake Heggie, whose Dead Man Walking was scheduled to appear at the Met this season. Heggie’s new arrangement of songs by Claude Debussy for voice, string quartet, flute, and harp rounds out the program.
