DSO Music Director Laureate Leonard Slatkin returns to lead the DSO in a program of folk-infused works. William Grant Still, often referred to as the “dean of African American composers” drew from throughout the western hemisphere to compose his folk suites, while Alberto Ginastera’s Concerto for Strings uses the music of Argentina in a more abstract manner.

Please note: The stream will begin 10 minutes prior to the concert.

The broadcast will take place at 7:20pm Eastern / 4:20pm Pacific.
