We are proud to close our 45th season with our Harmony from Discord concert. We are honored to represent a community that believes in and supports our work celebrating composers who suffered under oppression and fought for humanity through their music. Bella Hristova is the perfect soloist for this work, and these works. Nokuthula Ngwenyama is a YCA alumna and composed this new work for Bella Hristova. The piece Miasma is based on the Covid-19 genome sequence.
Join us at 12pm Pacific for an informative and engaging pre-concert lecture about the program with Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel, available on the BSO website (https://www.bellinghamsymphony.org/watch).
The broadcast of this performance will take place at 1pm Pacific.
