The Early Music Youth Academy rides again! This all-new 2021 ensemble has been rehearsing online and outdoors. On Tuesday, these six students aged 10-14 will be joined in performance by guest artist John Lenti, theorbo, and SHAK alum Isaac Levin-Delson, lute, for a short and sweet program of mesmerizing ground bass pieces. Enjoy music by Henry Purcell, Biagio Marini, Marco Uccellini, and Samuel Capricornus. Bring a picnic to hang out and listen or just stroll by for a few tunes!
This event offers another chance for our returning friends to greet one another again safely — and for local newcomers who’ve joined SHAK online in the past year to meet some of us in real life for the first time!
The concert will take place at 6:30pm at Warren G. Magnuson Park Picnic Shelter #1, Seattle, WA.
To reach Picnic Shelter #1: Enter the park at NE 65th St and park in the lot at the bottom of the road by the water. The shelter is located on the grass at the lake edge, between the parking lot and the boat launch.
