Oboist Bhavani Kotha and pianist Rebecca Mañalac present works by Antonio Vivaldi, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Maurice Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns, and William Grant Still. Bhavani gained attention in 2019 as the winner of two major national competitions, and during a European tour with Toronto’s Hart House Orchestra. Rebecca is staff accompanist at WWU, and resident accompanist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bellingham. A match made in heaven! Covid protocol in place: wear a mask and bring proof of vaccination. Take a teen for free (same covid protocol).

About Bhavani Kotha

Oboist Bhavani Kotha was a winner of the 2019 National Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition and the National Federation of Music Clubs Carolyn Nelson Double Reed Award. Based in Seattle, WA, she has performed with the Oregon Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Eugene Symphony, Boise Philharmonic, Boise Baroque Orchestra, The Sound Ensemble, North Corner Chamber Orchestra (NOCCO), and Seattle Modern Orchestra. She was also featured on Classical King FM Northwest Focus Live and Musical Chairs Seattle radio broadcasts. Her debut album, Bhavani's Oboe, was released in 2019. Bhavani balances a busy freelance performance schedule with teaching and fundraising for Mary's Place.
