The past year has taught us many things. Among them are the healing and transformative power of the arts, and the necessity of connection for our collective well-being. This powerful show will be much more than a concert, it is sure to be a multisensory experience of words and music that will leave the audience deeply moved.

Luminous will explore a specially selected collection of art songs by Black composers set to lyrics by Black writers, interwoven with the texts of prolific Black wordsmiths. Strung together as a collection of moments, each song will function as a peek into the innermost thoughts and emotions of the character. Inspiration. Transformation. Growth. Release. Peace. Deep. Healing. Love. Awakening. Surrender. These are just some of the powerful emotions you will journey through in this intimate concert setting as you experience a moving journey through sound, beauty, and the connective energy vocal music facilitates.

Our hope is that you’ll leave this performance space differently than you entered it, because a portion of your soul has been moved and ignited to enact change – for the betterment of yourself and your community.
