The Del Sol Composer Incubator was created in 2020 to offer early career composers the chance to work in-depth with Del Sol over the course of 6 months on unique musical projects. By providing ample collaborative time, the quartet will work with these composers to think critically about the role of activism, performance venue, and concert presentation while writing a work for string quartet. In its first year, composers Adeliia Faizullina, Marguerite Brown, and deVon Russell Gray worked with the quartet to create three stunning new works, exploring deeply personal sounds and gestures conceived over months of collaborative work with the quartet.
The concert will begin at 7:30pm Pacific.
This concert will be hosted in person at C4NM while simultaneously livestreaming through Arts Letters & Numbers on their YouTube page. The livestream will be free to view.
Attending in person: Masks and proof of vaccination are required for in-person events.
