PARMA Live Stage presents the performance premiere of two works by composer Carl Vollrath, choreographed for ballet and performed by faculty at Troy University’s School of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance.
The Glass of Absinthe, composed by Vollrath, was originally recorded by legendary flutist Dieter Flury with Ieva Oša on piano at the Blagoje Bersa Concert Hall in Zagreb, Croatia, and released on The Unfolding Flute, Vol. 1 (Navona, 2020).
Bela's Bash, originally released in 2021 on Vollrath’s Transit Voices with Sharan Leventhal (violin), Rane Moore (clarinet), and Randall Hodgkinson (piano).
