Jerome Kern famously said that Irving Berlin has no place in American music – he is American music. How did a desperately poor Russian immigrant who couldn’t read or write music become one of the most successful songwriters in history? Hear Berlin’s incredible story as well as songs including “Cheek to Cheek” (Top Hat), “I Got Lost in His Arms” (Annie Get Your Gun), “You’re Just in Love”, and “I Got the Sun in the Morning”.

With host Rob Kapilow & vocalists Beth Malone and Michael Winther.
