Sphinx Competition and multi-award-winning Brazilian-American cellist Gabriel Martins is turning ears as one of the most exciting artists of his generation. He makes his New York City mainstage debut with this concert, performing touchstones of the cello literature with the first three of Bach’s unaccompanied cello suites. Hear him in the iconic works he is already making his own, with a deep, joyful, charismatic artistry that has the classical world taking notice.
