In this bold program featuring a pair of classical giants, Beethoven’s sparkling, pensive Piano Concerto No. 2 complements Brahms’ robust and potent Third Symphony – a piece hailed for its dramatic narrative and melodic intensity. Plus, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 1 rounds out the program with its agile rhythms and folk-inspired intimacy.

COVID-19 Protocol: The Oregon Symphony will require upon entry for all patrons, regardless of age, a proof of full vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test, to attend concerts and events. A negative COVID-19 PCR test must be taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. A face covering is also required for all patrons, regardless of age, and must be worn at all times.

Those under 18 years of age who do not have a school photo ID must be accompanied by an adult who meets the vaccination or COVID-19 test requirements and provide a negative test result or proof of full vaccination. Children not yet eligible for vaccination must provide a negative test result. A negative COVID-19 PCR test must be taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.
