Ludwig van Beethoven — Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 19
Johannes Brahms — Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90
Johannes Brahms — Hungarian Dance No. 1
In this bold program featuring a pair of classical giants, Beethoven’s sparkling, pensive Piano Concerto No. 2 complements Brahms’ robust and potent Third Symphony – a piece hailed for its dramatic narrative and melodic intensity. Plus, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 1 rounds out the program with its agile rhythms and folk-inspired intimacy.
