Baltimore Chamber Orchestra: Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3
$35
- Benjamin Pasternack, piano
Steven Karidoyanes — Café Neon: Fantasy on Greek Songs and Dances
Zoltán Kodály — Dances of Galánta
Ludwig van Beethoven — Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37
This internationally kaleidoscopic program includes works inspired by folk music: from Kazakhstan by the American Sam Post; from Greece by the Greek-American Steven Karidoyanes; and from the Galanta region of Slovakia by the Hungarian Zoltán Kodály. (A kafenion is a Greek coffee shop, hence Café Neon. And no, we do not expect a Borat sighting.)
